The Jewish Pavilion 2021 fashion show attracted a sellout crowd this year and made more money than ever before. Chairwomen Marci Gaeser and Sharon Littman explained that women were looking for a fun Covid-safe activity and were thrilled to venture out. Many women in attendance had not seen one another for over a year and did not know whether to embrace or bump elbows. Recognizing acquaintances was rather challenging with everyone in masks. "If their hairstyle or weight changed, it was difficult to know who you were greeting," said Pam Ruben, one of the gorgeous models.

The models were selected from the Friends of the Jewish Pavilion Board and Gaeser and Littman spent three days at Dillard's outfitting themselves and the other models. This year's theme embraced mothers and daughters and there were several mother/daughter teams, such as Shirley Schoenberger and Tracy Weiss, Katherine Gerscovich and Carina Gerscovich Borkon, Marci Gaeser and Jessica Klein (and Jessica's daughters, Jennifer and Allison Klein, who stole the show with their beauty and adorable dresses). Model Ruth Darvin was on the runway with her granddaughter-to-be, Reba Wafggoneer.

Gloria Newberger was honored along with her daughter, Nancy Ludin. At age 93, Gloria Newberger "stole the show" by delivering her remarks without notes. She brought many people to tears when she spoke about loneliness during the pandemic and what it meant to receive cards, phone call and gift bags from the Jewish Pavilion.

The staff at Dillard's in Altamonte Springs did everything possible to ensure the success of the show including a donation of 10 percent of the proceeds of all sales to the Jewish Pavilion.
