Mr. Alan M. Rakofsky, 81, of Merritt Island died Friday July 30, 2021 at Vitas Hospice following a brief illness. Mr. Rakofsky was born June 17, 1940, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Marvin and Sylvia (Silverman) Rakofsky and moved to the coast in 1969 from New York. He retired from United Space Alliance as a electrical technician and working with the space program at NASA for 44 years.

Mr. Rakofsky is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Phyllis (Brown) Kimbell-Rakofsky of Merritt Island; son, Andre Rakofsky of Cocoa Beach; daughters, Nancy (Jody) McDowell of Rockledge, Staci Lyons and Wendy Kimbell both of Leesburg; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Mr. Rakofsky were held 1 at Beth Israel Cemetery with Rabbi Arnold Siegel officiating.
