On Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021, Jewish Family Services of Greater Orlando presented the Inaugural Michael McKee Volunteer Award.

Held at the Winter Park Farmers' Market, the event recognized and celebrated McKee's years of dedication and leadership in support of JFS Orlando. McKee served on the Board of Directors since 2009 and was Board president from 2013 to 2018. In late 2018 through mid-2019, McKee served pro bono as interim executive director during JFS's transition, making it possible for Jewish Family Services to better serve the community into the future.

During the evening, guests enjoyed cocktails, good company, and passed hors d'oeuvres. Also recognized during the event were Barbara Grossman for her years of service and commitment as a JFS board member, and Ross Pearlman in recognition of his extraordinary service as a volunteer.

The event was sponsored by the Board of Directors of Jewish Family Services of Greater Orlando, Fern & Shep Burr, Rhonda Forest, Roz Fuchs Schwartz, Rachel & Rob Gebaide, and M&H Whisky Distillery.
