Jewish Academy of Orlando's Rejoicing in our Roots Gala: Celebrating 45 years of Jewish Education in Central Florida takes place on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 6:30 p.m., at the brand new Winter Park Event Center, 1052 W. Morse Blvd., Winter Park. The event will honor four of JAO's superstar educators - Penny Gold, Vicki Peisner, Ann Montgomery and Karen Willoughby. Together, these outstanding honorees have educated hundreds of JAO alumni and have a combined 95 years with the school.

Celebrating 45 years of academic excellence and Jewish pride, JAO's gala will spotlight the school's inventive curricula in learning, to include its Judaica program, cutting-edge Innovation Lab, daily TV production of the JAO news, Whole Child curriculum and JAO's acclaimed musical theater program. Guests will be invited to participate in hands on learning stations and enjoy a live sneak peek from the school's upcoming production, "Into the Woods Jr.," set for performance this spring.

There will also be both live and silent auctions featuring out of this world trips along with local treats for fun evenings out.

The JAO Gala is the school's biggest annual fundraiser. Proceeds from the gala fund student tuition assistance, new curricula, field trips, and educational programs. Gala tickets are $250 per couple, $150 for individuals and include dinner, dessert, favors, entertainment by JAO theater students, live and silent auction and much more.  The event is Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 6:30pm at the Winter Park Event Center.
