Special guest at Chabad of North Orlando prayer service

Rolene Hunter

On Friday, July 28, Chabad of North Orlando will host "Rolene's Shabbos" in loving memory of a special woman. Rolene Hunter was the first to become a member of Chabad Lubavitch of North Orlando's Jewish Legacy Society by remembering the Longwood Chabad in her will and leaving a portion of her estate to help ensure a Jewish tomorrow.

"Rolene was taken from us way too soon but she will forever remain in our hearts," Rabbi Yanky Majesky remarked. "Though as an individual we may pass on, the community lives forever - Am Yisrael Chai - by leaving the community in her will, her memory lives on forever!"

Cantor Levi Kaplan

In honor of "Rolene's Shabbos" Chabad will be hosting world renowned Chazzan, Cantor Levi Kaplan, who will lead Friday night services. Kaplan began his career in Chazanut at age 11, studied voice, music theory with renown experts in NYC and studied Nusach HaTefilah with Cantor Noach Schall, he is a sought-after cantor and directs the Council of Chabad Cantors.

The entire community is invited to join for the prayer service with the cantor. There is no cost to attend but you must RSVP by Thursday July 27 at www.JewishNorthOrlando.com/Chazzan

Sponsors of $360 will join in a private Shabbos dinner following services with the Chazzan.

Kabalas Shabbos service at Nate's Shul begins at 7 p.m. and the address is 1701 Markham Woods Road.

Chanshy Majesky, co-director of Chabad, added "We love you and miss you Rolene and we will never forget you! Thank you for what you have done and indeed continue to do for the community!"
