Central Florida's Independent Jewish Voice

Expanded name, same mission

The Jewish Pavilion has a new name - Jewish Pavilion Senior Services -and a new logo.

The official launch date is June 1.

"The reason our board decided to expand our name is that the word Pavilion was unclear and people assumed we have a building," said Nancy Ludin, CEO of the Jewish Pavilion.

When the name was conceived 23 years ago, the word Pavilion, which is an open air facility, was selected because the organization is not contained in a specific location but its outreach services affect residents in 50 different senior communities.

"The agency has such a good reputation, and we had a pretty logo, so we decided to expand our name to Jewish Pavilion Senior Services," Ludin explained.

The new logo is similar, and there is no change in its mission.

Ludin said the expanded name is much clearer and puts an emphasis on the services they provide: Sabbath and holiday programs, referrals from the Orlando Senior Help Desk, etc.
