Community leader Julian Meitin dies

Julian Ralph Meitin, a devoted husband, father, brother, Zaide, and friend, passed away on July 2, 2025, at the age of 83. Julian lived a life rooted in purpose and service to others.

Julian's legacy lives on in the lives he touched with his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to family and community.

Fondly known as "Uncle Julian" by both family and friends, he is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sheryl (Walanka) of Orlando, Florida; sons, Ross (Sharon) Meitin of Indialantic, Florida and Joshua J. Meitin of Orlando, Florida; and grandsons - David Meitin, Ryan Meitin, and Zachary Meitin. He is also survived by his sister, Judith Cope of Potomac, Maryland and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel Meitin and parents Ralph and Bluma (Wise) Meitin of blessed memory.

Funeral Services for Mr. Meitin were held in the Jacob "Yank" Frank Memorial Chapel at Temple Israel Cemetery (9200 Morton Jones Road, Gotha, FL) with Rabbi Joshua Neely of Temple Israel Orlando officiating. May he rest in peace and may his memory always be a blessing.
