Marc Philip Ossinsky, a devoted father, esteemed legal mind, and fiercely loyal friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Maitland, Florida, on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, at the age of 65. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends following a hard-fought battle with cancer, a fight he approached with the same tenacious spirit he showed throughout his life.
Born on Nov. 23, 1959, in Daytona Beach to the late Louis and Sandy Ossinsky, Marc built a distinguished life rooted in service and dedication. For over 25 years, he was an accomplished lawyer who founded his own practice in Maitland. Marc was known for his relentless commitment to his clients, achieving significant victories through his careful and dedicated efforts. His professional achievements included being recognized to practice before the Supreme Court, serving as a compassionate Guardian Ad Litem, and dedicating countless hours to pro bono work. His resilience was a defining trait; he was a survivor of cancer since 2000, setting a powerful example of fighting for himself and others.
Marc was a man of magnetic personality, cultivating decades-long friendships that he never let fade. He could hold a captivating conversation on any of his favorite subjects, including Star Trek, classic rock, comedy, and the intricacies of the law. Above all, he was a devoted father who ensured his children always felt cared for, supported, and loved.
Marc is survived by his beloved daughter, Janna Ossinsky of New York, New York; and his son, Joshua Ossinsky and his husband, Dustin Hawkins of Orlando, Florida.
May his memory be a blessing. Inspired by his favorite mantra, may his life always encourage others to “live long and prosper.”
Graveside services for Mr. Ossinsky were led by Marc’s cousin, Rabbi Andrew Rosenkranz of Temple Beth Torah, Wellington, Fla., and held at All Faiths Memorial Park, 1930 Park Dr, Casselberry, FL 32707.
