Joel A. Newman, 78, of The Villages, Florida, formerly of Detroit, Michigan, died on May 28, 2026. Beloved husband of Michelle "Shelly" Newman. Cherished father of Casey Newman. Loving brother of Susan (Benson) Barr, Neal (Esther) Zalenko, the late Sherwin Newman, and the late Sanford (the late Miriam) Newman. Special brother-in-law of Robert (Janet) Sher, Lawrence Sher, and Beverly (the late Albert) Hacker. Dear son of the late Charles and the late Libbie Newman Zalenko. Also survived by other loving family members and friends.
