Dubbed “Hitmaking Titan of the Music Industry” by the NY Times, Clive Jay Davis, died at his home in Manhattan on June 22, 2026, at the age of 94. He had been hospitalized with respiratory problems shortly before his death.
Davis was a leader at labels like Columbia, RCA, J, BMG, and Arista, which he founded in 1974.
