    Belle S. Pfeffer of Sanford, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, at her residence. She was 98 years old. Born in Monroe County, New York, on July 31, 1915, to the late Samuel and Kate Rosenberg Schoenberg, she lived for many years in Orlando before relocating to North Carolina. She was a former member of Temple Israel and worked as a real estate salesperson. Mrs. Pfeffer was predeceased by her husband, David, in 1993, and by her daughter, Rosalie Dell, in 2004.     Irving S. Kolin, M.D., of Winter Park, died on April 15, 2014, at the age of 74 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was a doctor whose greatest joy was to give people the ability and skills to help themselves. When patients would thank him for saving their lives, he would tell them that he only helped them to heal themselves.     Melvin Siskind, beloved husband of Zelda Kolodner Siskind, passed away on April 15, 2014. Melvin, the son of Al and Mollie Siskind, was born April 2, 1925 in Lawrence, Mass. He graduated from Valdosta (Georgia) High School and attended the University of Georgia after serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II.     NEW YORK (JTA)-Gisela Kohn Dollinger tricked death twice. Soon after Kristallnacht, when she was 36, Dollinger persuaded the Gestapo to release her husband, rather than send him to a concentration camp, and the two of them fled Austria for Shanghai, where she almost died of typhus.
