Jewish Pavilion and Atria host Chanukah celebration

Bringing the joys of Chanukah to local seniors is what the Jewish Pavilion is planning for the coming weeks and months. Atria Senior Living and the Jewish Pavilion are planning a community-wide Chanukah celebration to take place Nov. 22, at 5 p.m.

Atria Senior Living printed the invitations while Jewish Pavilion volunteers stuffed and addressed envelopes making for a perfect partnership. Atria is inviting the entire community to enjoy a complimentary Chanukah dinner with festive entertainment by Jewish Pavilion volunteer and musician Paul Stenzler.

Once a month Atria serves a delicious Shabbat dinner for their Jewish residents and families and guests. "Sharing familiar foods and saying the blessings together brings the Jewish community of Atria together as a family," said Thelma, a resident of Atria. "I look forward to it each month," said Faye, another Atria resident.

Administrator Lori Okeon wanted to open this event up beyond the grand doors of Atria to include the local community. "It's a way to bring everyone together enjoying the festival of lights."

Dinner is served at 5 p.m. followed by candle lighting and musical entertainment. RSVP by Nov. 19 (seating is limited) to Wendy at 407-678-9363 or Lori at 407-322-2207.
