Belle Niner of Longwood, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2104, at the VITAS Inpatient Care Unit in Winter Garden. She was 91 years old. Mrs. Niner was born in New York on May 13, 1923, to the late Jacob and Martha Tanenbaum. At a time when many were lucky to complete high school, Belle graduated from New York University with a bachelor’s degree in education. She was an elementary school teacher for many years in the New York City School system. On May 30, 1950, in New York, she married Robert Niner, her husband of over 64 years who passed away in July 2014. In 1984, they relocated to the Orlando area from Plainview, N.Y., and joined Congregation of Reform Judaism.

Mrs. Niner is survived by her daughter, Susan (Michael) James of Essex, England; and sons, David (Phyllis) Niner of Albany, N.Y., and Jack Niner of Longwood; and four grandchildren.

A service was held at the family plot in Beth Moses Cemetery in Farmingdale, N.Y. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Beth Shalom Memorial Chapel, 640 Lee Road, Orlando 32810.
