Florence Weiner, age 94, of Orlando, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017, at Cornerstone Hospice at ORMC. She was born in New York City on Sept. 24, 1922, a daughter of the late Emil and Rose Vogel Markus.

Florence was a high school and nursing school graduate. As a nurse, she worked in the OB/GYN department. On June 7, 1953, in Flushing, New York, she married Arnold Weiner, her husband of nearly 64 years, who survives her. In 1992, they relocated from Long Island to the Williamsburg area of Orlando.

In addition to her husband, Florence is survived by her son Richard (Marla) of Minnetonka, Minn.; and her grandchildren, Emily, Jacqueline, and Eva. She is also survived by her sister, Helen, of Palm Beach and was predeceased by her brother, Robert Markus.

A chapel service and burial were held at United Hebrew Brotherhood Cemetery in Richfield, Minn. The family requests contributions in memory of Florence Weiner to the Alzheimer’s Association, 378 CenterPointe Circle, Suite 1280, Altamonte Springs 32701.
