Elaine S. Sonne, age 74, of Eustis, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017, at Cornerstone Hospice at Orlando Regional Medical Center. A native of Queens, New York, she was born on Feb. 1, 1943, to the late Barnett B. and Pauline Letwack Rosen. She was a bookkeeper and lived in St. Thomas before relocating to the Central Florida area in 2006 and was a member of the Congregation of Reform Judaism.

Elaine was married for 49 years to the late Stuart Sonne who passed away on Sept. 15, 2012.

She is survived by her children, Pamela Sonne of Mt. Dora and Marvin (Cindy) Sonne of Mt. Dora; and her grandchildren, Matt, Kim, Brianna, Micah and Logan.

A graveside service was held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Leesburg with Rabbi Steven W. Engel officiating. The family requests contributions in memory of Elaine S. Sonne to the Lake County Animal Shelter, 28123 County Road 561, Tavares 32778.
