Obituary - JYMMIE LYNN JACOBSON

Jymmie Lynn Jacobson, a wife, mother, bubbe, aunt, sister, friend, and caregiver for many, died unexpectedly on Nov. 8, 2021, at the age of 58.

Jymmie is survived by her parents, James and Patricia Gazaway, her husband, Dr. Hal Jacobson, and her children - Abraham and Isaac Jacobson, Marla (Dr. Justin) Capes, Mark (Heather) and Larry (Ashley) Jacobson; as well as her sisters, Marie, Susan and Paige. She is predeceased by her sister, Melissa.

Jymmie was born in Tennessee on Dec. 5, 1962. She graduated with her registered nursing degree in Florida and practiced nursing in Orlando as well as Leesburg, Florida. On July 6, 1991, she married the love of her life, Hal, as well as his three children and on June 10, 1993, and October 18, 1995, respectively, she welcomed her two sons into the world. While her family meant everything to her, she was also an avid and skilled home chef using her skills to entertain and host in her home. She was very giving to her friends, family and community, as well as active in her Jewish community at Congregation Ohev Shalom.

No amount of words can adequately describe the positive impact she had on others and how greatly she will be missed.

A funeral service was held at the Congregation Ohev Shalom Cemetery in the Pavilion. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in memory of Jymmie Jacobson to the COS/Jymmie L Jacobson Kitchen Fund. 615 Concourse Parkway South, Maitland FL 32751.
