Congregation Ohev Shalom honored soon-to-retire Cantor Allan Robuck on March 6, 2022, at a gala event. Over 315 congregants and friends paid tribute in recognition of Cantor Robuck's 30 years of dedicated service. During this time, Cantor Robuck participated in the bar and bat mitzvot of some 800 young people in addition to numerous weddings and life cycle events.

The evening featured a cocktail hour, a gourmet meal catered by Arthur's Catering, with option for indoor or outdoor dining, followed by a special concert of Jewish liturgy and mixed with popular tunes sung by Cantor Azi Schwartz of Park Avenue Synagogue in New York. Cantor Schwartz has performed at Carnegie Hall, the United Nations, Madison Square Garden, the U.S. Capitol and the Israeli Knesset. He also performed at the National Sept. 11th Memorial during a visit by Pope Francis in 2015.

Also during the evening, Cantor Schwartz presented Cantor Robuck with a special certificate of recognition from the Cantor's Assembly, and Sara Stern delivered a moving tribute to Cantor Robuck.

The evening, which was memorable for all who attended, was chaired by Nina Oppenheim and Elana Grodin, with the help of a fabulous committee.
