Selma Witte Roberts, beloved wife of the late Sanford B. Roberts, passed away on March 8, 2023. Selma was born on Sept. 11, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York to Regina "Belle" (Goldstein) and Aaron "Harry" Witte.

Selma grew up in Brooklyn and graduated as the valedictorian of her class in 1951 from Samuel J. Tilden High School, where she was described in her school yearbook as witty, charming and full of pep. Selma attended Brooklyn College and then moved with her family to Miami, Florida, where she met and married "Sandy," her cherished husband of 35 years.  The couple relocated to Orlando, Florida, where they lived for 13 years before moving to Hollywood and then Hallandale, Florida.  

In addition to raising her family, Selma was active in her synagogues; she was a life member of Hadassah, was involved with ORT, enjoyed performing in community theater, and loved socializing with her friends. She was a bridge master, mah jong maven, and an avid card player. Selma loved all types of entertainment: Broadway shows and musicals, concerts, and she especially enjoyed watching her beloved Miami Dolphins play. 

Selma worked as a secretary for a manufacturer's representative and in the mortgage business; she was a licensed real estate agent, and enjoyed working at Calder Race Track. 

Selma is survived by her children - Michelle (Steven) Perlman, Mark (Deby) Roberts, Scott (Heather) Roberts, Bruce (Joanne) Roberts, and Stacey (Edward) Hamburg; her brother, Leonard (Donna) Witte; eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, four nieces and nephews, and three great-nephews. 

Selma was predeceased by her parents as well as her husband, Sanford B. Roberts; along with her beloved sister, Marilyn Witte; and her grandson, Sandy Blake Roberts. She was also predeceased by two very special men in her life, Herman Kahn and Gordon Maddox, with whom she enjoyed many years of dancing and traveling.
