Garry A. Greenberg of Heathrow, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013 in New Smyrna Beach. He was 56 years old. Mr. Greenberg was born on Aug. 13, 1957, in Philadelphia, Pa., to Elliotte and the late Anita Sirulnick Greenberg. He was a graduate of the University of Miami and, during his working career, was an executive in the investments field. Marianne Schleichkorn of Apopka, passed away at her home on Friday, Sept. 27. She was 89 years old. Mrs. Schleichkorn was born in Giessen, Germany, on Jan. 7, 1924, and came to the United States in 1948. In New York, in 1950, she met and married her husband of 60 years, Jay Schleichkorn, who predeceased her in 2010. Norman H. Goldman of Orlando, passed away on Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at Florida Hospital—East Orlando. He was 64 years old. A Brooklyn native, he was born on March 22, 1949, to the late Morris and Dora Mehlman Goldman and was married to the former Phyllis Victor, who predeceased him in 1990. Joy Goldstein of Miami, passed away on Sunday, Sept.15, 2013, at her residence. She was 85 years old. Though she considered herself a “native,” she was born in Columbus, Ohio, on Jan. 14, 1928, to the late Samuel and Betty Stone Alpert, moving to Miami when she was three years old. Lynn Klein Watch of Orlando, passed away on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at her home following a brief illness. She was 71. Mrs. Watch was born Sept. 15, 1942, in Chicago, Ill., to the late Michael and Inez Klein. She moved to Orlando in 1972 and retired here from her teaching career. Hilda “Bunny” Rosen passed away Sept. 17, 2013. She was 85 years old. Mrs. Rosen was born to Michael and Fanny Epstein in Cologne, Germany. She lived in the German ghetto, spending every weekend with her doting grandparents. “My youthful memories are of a close-knit, loving and supportive community, where I lived comfortably,” she once said in a Heritage interview. A native of New York City, she was born on May 31,1922, to the late Irving and Celia Knecht Levy. She attended Cooper Union for two years and was the owner of an advertising company for many years. Louise Wagman Blau of Altamonte Springs, passed away in the early morning hours of Sept. 9, 2013. She was 75 years old. Mrs. Blau passed away suddenly from complications following a heart attack while being visited and comforted by family at Florida Hospital Altamonte. Retired cardiologist, author and lifelong supporter of Israel and the Jewish community, Dr. Norman M. Wall of Heathrow, died at his home Sept. 3, 2013. He was 99. Wall was born Feb. 9, 1914, in Girardville, Pa., the youngest, and sole survivor of nine children born to Russian immigrants. Howard Kaye of Plantation Fla., passed away on Sept. 2, 2013, at Health Central in Ocoee. He was 69 years old. Mr. Kaye was born in Bronx, N.Y., on Dec. 8, 1943, to the late Louis and Rebecca Kurnentz Kremenchug. Susi Ross of Winter Springs, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013 at Florida Hospital – Altamonte. She was 77 years old. Eugene Goodman of Lake Mary, passed away on Monday, Aug. 12. He was 83 years old. Mr. Goodman, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, Ohio, relocated to the Orlando area in 2010. LOS ANGELES (JTA)—Yehuda Lev, an iconoclastic journalist and veteran of World War II and Israel’s War of Independence who established a European underground route to smuggle Holocaust survivors to Palestine, died Aug. 33 in Providence, R.I., following a prolonged illness. Gorme died at a Las Vegas hospital on Saturday following a brief illness, according to a statement by her spokesman. She was 84. Steven D. Bercov died on Sunday, July 21. He was 66 years old. Mr. Bercov was born in Chicago, Ill. on May 17, 1947, to Jacob and Frances Sharon Bercov. He moved to Miami with his family in 1960. Martin I. Finkelstein of Casselberry died on on Saturday, July 20. He was 89 years old. He was born in Philadelphia on June 26, 1924, to the late Reuben and Ida Kaplan Finkelstein. Following high school he entered the Army and served in Europe during World War II, receiving an honorable discharge in 1946. Ruth L. Rabinovitz of Orlando, died on Wednesday, July 23. She was 74. Mrs. Rabinovitz was born in Boston, Mass., on March 8, 1939.
