Rose Kellman, age 100, passed away at her residence at Monroe Village, Monroe Township, New Jersey, on Monday, May 7, 2018. Rose was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, on Oct. 7, 1917, the only child of the late Louis and Bessie Weinberg Sobel. She persevered through a difficult childhood—moving frequently and lacking much—managing to graduate high school and go on her own. Elly G. Soski, age 86, of Lake Mary, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018, at her home in Oakmonte Village in Lake Mary. She was born on March 21, 1932, in Lvov, Poland to the late Benzion and Gitla Grunberg. Elly’s family was arrested by the Russians during World War II and she, her mother and her sister, Rifka, who died during the Shoah, were deported to Liberia. Landwirth and his twin sister, Margot Glazer, were born March 7, 1927, in Antwerp, Belgium. His father and mother were killed by the Nazis. Betty Loomas (born Elizabeth A. Schick) passed away at the age of 90 on Feb. 1, 2018, at Winter Park Memorial Hospital in Florida of complications from pneumonia after an extended illness.
