Rhoda Wolf (Hebrew name Sura Rifka bas Tzvi Hirsch u’Frieda), 90, for more than six decades a resident of Central Florida, passed away on Jan. 11, 2017, in Longwood. Henry Klein, age 79, of Kissimmee, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016, at The Commons at Orlando Lutheran Towers. A native of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, Henry was born on Jan. 14, 1937, to the late Morris and Florence Abraham Klein. Sarah Luft, age 93, of Orlando, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, at her residence. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on Nov. 23, 1923, Sarah was a daughter of the late Max and Tanya Tabel Schwartz. On December 16, 1945, in Brooklyn, she married Aaron Luft, her husband of nearly 71 years, who passed away in October 2016. During her working career, Sarah was a jewelry salesperson. (JTA)-Vera Rubin, an astronomer whose research helped find evidence of the existence of dark matter, has died. Rubin died Sunday night in Princeton, New Jersey. She was 88. Though a perennial favorite for the Nobel Prize in physics, according to National Geographic magazine, Rubin never received the honor. Walter M. Danziger passed away on Nov. 6, 2016, at the Emory L. Bennett State Veteran’s Nursing Home in Daytona Beach, Fla., at the age of 92. Gruber died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, in her Manhattan home, The Washington Post reported.
