  • Friday Night Shabbat and Veterans' Day Commemoration

    Rabbi Karen Allen of Congregation Beth Sholom in Leesburg will lead a Friday night Shabbat Service and Veterans’ Day commemoration on Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. Veterans of all services and conflicts will be honored. A salute to military spouses will also be presented. In addition to traditional Shabbat songs, the program will include readings by members of the congregation from poetry and prose in tribute to those who have served their country.   • Temple Shalom hosts Kristallnacht presentation

    On Nov. 9, starting at 7 p.m., Temple Shalom will host a presentation on Kristallnacht, more commonly known as “The Night Of Broken Glass,” considered by many as the beginning of the Holocaust. Speakers will include children of Holocaust survivors. Kristallnacht was a coordinated Nazi pogrom in Germany, Austria and other countries.     Temple Israel will be offering a unique opportunity for our Spanish speaking Jewish community members to join us for a Latino Shabbat on Nov. 14 at 9 a.m. in the Savage Family Chapel.     The First grade class/Kitah Alef of Congregation Ohev Shalom held their Consecration on Monday evening, Oct. 5 as part of the celebration of Simchat Torah.
