The Orlando Chapter of Hadassah was founded in 1948 by a group of Jewish women, new to the area, who desired a connection with Israel and the community. According to a long-time member, the meetings were initially held in Temple Israel where the women prepared the lunches for the meetings, wrote scripts as well as raised money for Hadassah.
