Mrs. Sora Frankel, 103, passed away Sunday, Aug. 20, 2023, at at her Parkland, Florida home following a brief illness. Mrs. Frankel was born Nov. 27, 1919, in New York City, New York to the late Isidor and Miriam (Friedman) Hinder. She and her late husband Aaron Frankel moved to the Orlando area in 1979 from New York. She was a member of Hadassah, Brandeis, ORT and Deborah and a former member of Congregation of Reform Judaism.

Mrs. Frankel is survived by her devoted daughter, Ellan (Jerrold) Kahan of Wellington, Florida; and son, Edward (Susan) Frankel of Baldwin, New York; and her beloved grandchildren - Michael (Gabriella Safran) Kahan, Barbara (Gary) Webb, Rachel (Robert) Makosky and Joseph (Sarah) Frankel; and great-grandchildren; Meghan Webb, Erik Webb, Eva Kahan, Frieda Kahan, Sidney Makosky, Marea Makosky, Noah Frankel and Sophie Frankel. 

Graveside Services for Mrs. Frankel were held at Congregation of Reform Judaism Cemetery (9200 Morton Jones Road, Gotha, FL) with Rabbi Maurice Kaprow officiating.
