Marsha M. Cohen-Little passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at Orlando Health. She was 67 years of age. Ms. Cohen-Little was born in New York City on Jan. 11, 1946 to the late Abraham Harold Cohen and Edith Schlanger Cohen. She was a high school graduate and recently received her college degree. Jack S., Wiesenfeld of Tampa died Monday, Dec. 9, 2013. He was 87 years old. Mr. Wiesenfeld was born in Boston, grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y., and came to Tampa 10 years ago after living in Maitland since 1969. Mr. Wiesenfeld was a U.S. Navy veteran having served proudly in the Pacific during WWII. Martha (Gigi) Wolkind passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at Orlando Regional Medical Center, with her daughter by her side. She was 97 years old. Mrs. Wolkind was born in the Lower East Side of New York City on Oct. 2, 1916, the daughter of the late Isadore and Freida Kessler Jacobs. She married her late husband Benjamin Wolkind in 1940 and they moved to the Orlando area in 1959. They were married for nearly 59 years when he passed away in 1999. Helen Goldberg Brown passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at NuVisa Care at Hillsborough Lakes in Lutz, Fla. She was 90 years old. Mrs. Brown was born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada, on March 26, 1923, to the late Louis and Miriam Goldberg. After marrying her late husband, Charles, in Reno, Nev., the couple returned to Maine, where he was stationed, and in 1946 they moved to the Orlando area. Sam Behr of New Smyrna Beach, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, in his home. He was 86 years old. Mr. Behr was born April 23, 1927, in Talledega, Ala. He played football at the University of Maryland and scored the first touchdown ever for Coach Paul “Bear” Bryant. Mr. Behr was in the military and served at Elmore Air Force Base in Alaska, where he served as athletic director and received football help from Coach Bryant.
