The Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando (JFGO) has formally launched an ambitious campaign aimed at retiring $4.5 million in debt that saddles the Central Florida Jewish community's core asset, the Maitland Jewish Community Campus. Local philanthropist and entrepreneur Alan Ginsburg and his family honored his late son and daughter-in-law with the creation of the Jeffrey & Diane Ginsburg Center for Jewish Student Life at Central Florida Hillel. On Thursday, March 24, Jewish Academy of Orlando students spent the afternoon participating in Purim activities, which included face-painting, games, dancing and making masks for the holiday. JFS Orlando will receive a $2,000 grant from The Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando that will enable JFS to deliver more holiday meals this year. With the $2,000 grant they will be able to purchase 166 additional meals. The 2016 holiday meal program will deliver meals to the older, low-income Jewish population.
