Khalil Simon Oxborough, son of Thomas and Beth Oxborough of Sanford, will be called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015 at Congregation Beth Am of Longwood.

Khalil is in the eighth grade at Lake Mary Preparatory School where he is a member of the basketball and cross-country team; National Junior Honor Society (NJHS); and the Meritas Academic Olympead competing in geography. His hobbies and interests include sports, reading, volunteering with hunger organizations such as Second Harvest Food Bank and Feeding Children Everywhere, and sharing laughs with his family.

Sharing in the family's simcha will be Khalil's brothers and sisters, Caleb, Alice, Jonah and Quinn; grandparents, Sharon Snyder, Glenda Oxborough, Michael Rosenberg and Joseph Oxborough; uncles, Mark Oxborough and Adam Rosenberg; Aunt Melody Reis-Rosenberg; Great-Aunt Blanche and Great-Uncle Louis Bergman; and cousins, Molly Oxborough, Maren Oxborough, and Sebastian Rosenberg.
