Dale Cohen, age 63, of Davenport, passed away in Bogota, Colombia, on May 21, 2017, while vacationing with his wife, Sonia. A New York native, he was the son of the late Milton and Miriam Garfinkle Cohen, and was born on Sept. 28, 1953. Dale practiced chiropractic in Syracuse and later earned an MBA, eventually becoming product director for OPTUM health insurance.

On Dec. 16, 2000, in Orlando, he married the former Sonia Gamboa, his wife who survives him. He relocated to Florida in 2014, after living in California.

In addition to his wife, Dale is survived by his sons, Matthew and Jonah (Rifka); and his daughter, Laura (fiancé Henry Neely); and two grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service was held at Ohev Shalom Cemetery with Rabbi Sholom Dubov of Congregation Ahavas Yisroel officiating.
