Dr. Ethan F. Greene, age 32, of DeLand, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015, at Florida Hospital—Orlando. Dr. Greene was born in Livingston, New Jersey, on Oct. 10, 1982, to Peter and Rebecca Schwartz Greene. He received a doctorate in music and was a professor of visual arts at Stetson University in DeLand. Dr. Richard (Ruben) Turk, age 74, of Orlando, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, at Florida Hospital—Orlando. A New York native, he was born on Nov. 5, 1940, to the late Murray and Sarah Angowitz Turk. Dr. Turk was a chiropractor in Central Florida for over 25 years. Following his chiropractic training, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the Reserves. He enjoyed traveling, reading the Orlando Sentinel, and was an avid car connoisseur. Geraldine “Geri” Halperin Harris, age 88, of Northport, Alabama, passed away at the Huntercreek Nursing and Rehab Center in Northport on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015. Myrna Lighterman, age 85, of Sanford, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015. A native of New York City, she was born on May 11, 1930, to the late Harold and Eve Merzon Winniman. Ruby Gloria Steinfeld (Nee Eisner)of Orlando, passed away on Sept. 4th, 2015, following a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s at the Hunters Creek Nursing Home. Irving Yousha, born Sept. 7, 1933 in Rockaway Beach, N.Y., died Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015, in Winter Park, Fla. He was 81 years old. Joseph Gliksman, 68, of Deltona, passed away at his home on Monday, July 27, 2015. Born in Lodz, Poland to Holocaust survivors, Abraham and Sabina Gliksman, the family emigrated to North America in 1957 when he was 10; landed in Montreal, then moved to the Bronx, then Brooklyn, Borough Park. Sally Kagan Stotsky Salamy passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015. She was 103 years old. Born in Poland Feb. 18, 1912, she came to the U.S. in 1923 at the age of 11. She gerw up in Bayonne, N.J., and was married to her first husband, Philip Kagan in 1933 at the age of 21. She and Philip had two daughters, Loretta and Annette. The marriage ended in 1946. Mr. Cohen was born in New York in 1953 to Edwin and Marilyn (Danzig) Cohen and was joined by his siblings, Debra and Jonathan Cohen. Stanley Carl Katz, age 78, of Orlando, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015, at Consulate Health Care in Kissimmee. Mr. Katz, a Bronx, New York, native, was born on Oct. 2, 1936, to the late Hyman and Anna Tischler Katz. He was a U.S. Army veteran and owned a commercial window cleaning business.
