Jennie Berg, age 101 ½, of Casselberry, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Hospice of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs. Mrs. Berg was born in Detroit, Michigan, on Nov. 14, 1913, one of four daughters, to the late Isaac and Rachel Siegal Ross. She was a high school graduate and was able to attend two years of college before having to leave and help her family during the Depression. Mr. Salkin was born in Bridgeport, Conn., on Oct. 25, 1955, to the late Sidney and Florence Rapoport Salkin. (JTA)—Ron Moody, a British Jewish actor best known for playing a character historically considered an anti-Semitic stereotype, has died at 91. Moody, who played the Jewish criminal Fagin in the stage and film versions of “Oliver,” an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ “Oliver Twist,” died on Thursday. Helene Arost, age 92, of Orlando, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015, at Florida Hospital Orlando. She was born in Philadelphia, Penn., on May 4, 1923, to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Paclin Stein.
