The Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando (JFGO) has awarded $50,000 in Collaborative Community Grants to 11 Central Florida programs and services for the 2015-2016 program year. More than 40 moms, dads and children turned out on Sunday, Aug. 30, to celebrate Rosh Hashanah at Lukas Nursery and Butterfly Encounter in Oviedo. Congregation Ohev Shalom Camp Kadusim (Kadima, USY and Olim) took place Aug. 10-12 at Camp ithiel in Gotha. Eighty-two fourth through 12th graders of Ohev Shalom’s youth groups spent three incredible days doing Jewish activities and getting excited for the new program year. The RAISE program for young adults with special needs is now accepting online applications. There will be a limited number of positions available. RAISE is also looking for volunteers willing to become Job Coaches.
