  • RAISE announces two new logos

    RAISE, the Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando's work and social skills training program for adults with special needs has unveiled two new logos. Both can be seen on RAISE's Facebook page. One logo will be used for the local ongoing program and the other, designated "RAISE on the Road," will be used as RAISE begins to market this unique and successful concept to other Jewish communities across the country.   • Jewish Academy of Orlando enrollment increases 8 percent

    Jewish Academy of Orlando grows with new students, new teachers, and a new grade level. While most of the growth came in the lower grades, the upper grades showed marked growth as well. Head of School Alan Rusonik said, "We are grateful for these positive trends and look forward to building on this momentum."     L'shana Tova! The Jewish Family Services' High Holiday Food Drive is here once again (Sept. 15-Oct. 31, 2019). This new year, better your community and celebrate your tzedakah by feeding the hungry in Central Florida through JFS Orlando's Pearlman Emergency Food Pantry.     Each morning, Jewish Academy of Orlando students produce a daily 15-minute kid-friendly news program.     September 2018 Kehilat Yonatan, a Reform congregation in Hod HaSharon, Israel, finally won the right to build their shul. Land was allocated to the congregation in 2013 and they raised the necessary funds to build, just had to wait for the OK. Former Orlando resident, Lori Stein Erlich, came to Orlando in 2014 to visit her parents, Nira and Arnold Stein, and shared their ongoing fundraising and fight to build with Heritage.
